Most of us would like to have better balance in our lives. We’d like to balance family, work, fun, relaxation, fitness, nutrition, and service to others. We like feeling in control of our lives, and we genuinely would like to make choices that promote our health and quality of life. Most of us KNOW that we SHOULD try to eat better.
We KNOW that it is important to have time for our family and friends and to decrease our stress in a hectic, complicated, and tense world. But most of us experience a FRUSTRATING GAP between what we would like to do and getting it done.
The realities of busy lives with multiple commitments too often get in our way. We all seem to have “so much to do, with so little time to do it.
Many people have come to me with their physical and spiritual health and lives way out of balance. The most important thing I do as a “Master of Habit Change” and Health Coach, is to teach you how to achieve physical and spiritual transformation by connecting the dots between mind, body, spirit and health. You will become aware of the connection between what you eat, stress, relationships issues, and the benefits you’ll gain by making healthier choices in these areas. You will desire to make changes to enhance your relationship with God, yourself and others and prioritize your health and wellness so that you can live out your dreams and the abundant life that you deserve.
The human body is an intricate and remarkable organism with many interdependent systems. Our soul, spirit and body are all connected. When all of those systems function as God created them to, we enjoy good health. Our biggest challenge is to deal with the circumstances of life and stress in a healthy way.
Our behaviors that become habits are our attempts to meet our most basic needs of love, acceptance, self-worth, security, and identity. If we rely on our own abilities and resources, apart from God, our strategies of living can be unhealthy. When we depend on our own strength to cope with the pressures of life and past rejections, the result is very often conflict and frustration. Accompanied with a self-sufficient attitude and unhealthy thinking patterns and behaviors, this can lead to habits that have a detrimental impact on our spiritual, emotional and mental health. In turn, our physical health is often affected. When we experience poor health, we can not live a full life or be used fully by God.
A healthy, happy and healed lifestyle-the health you deserve- empowers you to face life’s challenges with confidence and tap into your inner strength to pursue your dreams and God-given gifts and talents.
To function well and maintain optimum health, you need:
- to connect the dots between mind, matters of the heart, and physical health
- the desire to make changes in these areas and prioritize your health and wellness
- balanced nutrients to support its varied systems, from your heart and blood vessels, lungs, and nerves to your muscles and bones, digestive tract, metabolic gland, and beyond
- physical activity to keep these systems fit and well-conditioned
- enough relaxation and activity to relieve stress and promote spiritual health
Our Work Together:
I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Are you holding on to unforgiveness or bitterness from your past that is affecting your emotional well-being? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? Are you putting others before your personal health? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
My approach is not to dwell only on what you eat. It is not to create lists of restrictions or good and bad foods. Instead, I work with my clients to create, healthy lifestyle habits that last and guide them in spiritual truth in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding.
Together we’ll work to reach goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy and building a solid foundation of spiritual truths of health and wellness. You will discover what has been holding you back thus far from following through. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance, physical and spiritual health.
